HR Specialist
We usually respond within three days
Payroll and policies in the morning, an AI project after lunch, a team-building to organize before the end of the day. Are you looking for a varied, hands-on HR role where you can have a real impact and help build an ambitious, fast-growing and multicultural company leading its market in Europe from Barcelona? This opportunity might be for you ✨
We're looking for a Senior HR Specialist to join the People team and play a key role in making our employees and Skello thrive. Sounds exciting? Yes!
🎯 Why is this mission important for Skello?
At Skello, we're convinced that great teams make great successes. To achieve this, one thing is sure: we need an outstanding People team to support our employees and Skello in their growth.
We're entering an exciting chapter where People operations are evolving fast, especially with AI opening up new ways of working. We need a Senior HR Specialist who's ready to roll up their sleeves and deliver: solid HR admin and compliance, real improvement projects, and a well-run office where people feel good.
If you join us, you'll have real responsibilities, a highly visible impact on our employees, and lots of learning and development opportunities.
💪 About the mission
The Senior HR Specialist role is built around three main areas. Important: this is a hands-on role. You'll be the one doing the work, not just designing it.
1. Delivering flawless HR admin and compliance (50%)
Handling the admin side of the employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, contracts, payroll, meal vouchers, absences, the full set
Owning HR compliance: managing disciplinary procedures, and creating and keeping our internal policies up to date (salary registry, anti-harassment protocol, IT policies…)
2. Running improvement projects (30%)
Owning HR projects end to end, for example:
Learning & Development: building manager training, onboarding programs, and internal academies (Shiftix Academy, Skell'Up…)
Process improvement and automation: optimizing our tools and workflows (Rippling, TeamTailor) and bringing AI in to save time. Building dashboards and helping create a data-driven decision culture within the People team
3. Running office and happiness (20%)
Keeping the office running, tidy and well-stocked: supplies, fridge, IT equipment (laptops, accessories…), fixing small things, and helping everyone respect the space in collaboration with WeWork
Keeping our culture alive: organizing one team-building per month, plus smaller initiatives that keep the team connected (and yes, handling the logistics yourself: booking, buying, setting up)
👀 We are looking for you if you:
Have between four and six years of experience in HR roles, with solid exposure to both HR admin and project execution
Have HR experience in Spain and a strong understanding of the local legal and admin context (payroll, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, absences…)
Speak Spanish at native level and English with fluency. French and/or Italian are a big plus
Are genuinely curious about AI and excited to experiment with it to make HR better (no need to be an expert, just keen to learn and try things)
Are comfortable with tools and data, and like using them to make better decisions
Are looking for a fast-growing environment where you can build, improve, and own your scope
Listen to feedback and are constantly looking for ways to do things better
Are organized, rigorous, and detail-oriented
